We are able to offer our customers the complete service – from obtaining the necessary Regulatory Approvals (ZETDC, EMA & ZERA in Zimbabwe), design & engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, continued operation and maintenance works as well as liaising with ZETDC on behalf of the customer to ensure credits to their billing system where net-metering arrangements are applied.
Solar Installation
Our skilled teams are capable of installing any size solar plant and have completed single projects from 8kWp up to 3100kWp – either ground mount or rooftop type installations. For each of our projects, we have a dedicated Project Manager, responsible for direct liaison with the client during the installation period to ensure any concerns or queries are dealt with immediately. That same Project Manager will be responsible for all site safety aspects, regular progress reporting as well and quality implementation.
Design & Engineering
Our Engineers will work extensively with the customer to ensure the proposed solution is tailor-made for their requirements, taking into consideration development costs, aesthetics and energy savings.
The design process typically involves data logging or obtaining information from Utility meters to determine the customers load profile. From this, in close liaison with the customer, a sizing in terms of PV and BESS can be determined and costed accordingly. Proposed layouts are then produced and once accepted, detailed design work is then carried out. Part of our service is also to arrange net-metering with ZETDC, which allows any excess energy being produced and not used to be “banked” into the Grid – with the ability to draw up to 85% of this back when required.
We also have an in-house civil engineering team, so any civils works can be designed according to client requirements as well.
All our designers carry full Professional Indemnity and all equipment procured for our installations are Tier 1 – giving the customer additional peace of mind.
Project Management
We will oversee all facets of a typical renewable energy installation. In addition to our installation responsibilities, our site based Project Manager will arrange and manage on behalf of the customer any sub contract works that may be needed to integrate the new system into their existing network. This may include either LV or HV overhead line work, liaising with ZETDC prior or during installation as well as at commissioning and sign off. Other areas of work may involve the installation of carports for solar purposes.
Operation & Maintenance
We have both an in-office monitoring team as well as a trained on-site solar cleaning team designed to ensure our clients system is always operating to its peak capability. What sets us aside from our competitors is the yield guarantee we offer customers who employ our O&M services post commissioning.
Our daily monitoring team closely watch the output of each site in relation to irradiance figures and projected system yields. Monthly reports include such production figures against what was expected, also detailing any faults, concerns, shutdowns or outages. The site cleaning team will visit site as required by soiling levels, without the clients need to supply any labour whatsoever – all we will require is site access and a potable water supply. The inverters and various distribution boards are inspected quarterly while a full mechanical survey is carried out on the entire system annually.
This team will also liaise with ZETDC on your behalf to ensure credits for net-metered arrangements are being applied to your monthly bills.
